WES ANDERSON PLAYLIST

I made this playlist for when I'm walking in slow motion down long hallways.

$367

This is the amount I've spent at bars in the past 30 days. And that number doesn't include the times I've used cash or purchased beer from the grocery store. Sure, I've ordered a few meals at the bar and buy drinks for friends from time to time, but mostly it's my own consumption of craft beer and gin. I partially blame the terrible weather for keeping me cooped up inside the Taproom all month. But I can't help but think that I need to either:
A) Drink less often
B) Drink fewer beers/outing
C) Drink cheaper

Or some combination of the above. Beer is one of my favorite things and I don't care much for cutting it out of my life, but I do want to break that number in half at least for this next month. Should be a fun experiment. Bring on the Stag.

On another note, I am committing myself to ride to work at least three days out of the week. This too will be good for my health and my wallet.

SATURDAY BIKES X FATTIES

First Saturday Bikes of 2014. Kidnapped Jake, coffee at Northwest, tacos at Seoul, bloodies at Atomic, beers at Jack Patrick's, frozen pizzas at Culinaria, coffee at Park Ave. It's a good thing we were finally able to get out and get some exercise...

ART UP

ArtUp had a good turn out. Everything ended up selling. Had many conversations about Christopher Walken. I purchased a few paintings myself. Ended the night with good friends at the Taproom. All of this makes me happy.

I can't thank everyone enough who either donated art or made an appearance tonight. Cheers.

SHIT TO HIT TONIGHT

The Art Up show is tonight. Atomic Cowboy 6pm-10pm. Free admission.
Big thanks to everyone who donated art for the event.
Swing by, take a look, buy some cool shit.

WEEKEND ADVENTURES

Friday, celebrated VDay at the Taproom with my favorite folks. Made some valentine crafts and drawings of Dick Butt. I have determined this is the best way to spend such a "holiday."

Art stuff for most of the day Saturday then dinner at Atomic. Finished the night off by going to hipster dance party. It was hot, smelly, and the music was not music. Good beer was cheap though.

Went to dimsum today at LuLu. More restaurants should offer the drive by cart service. I refused to eat Paul's wet socks, but did try seaweed salad for the first time which was fantastic. I am craving some now and it's 9:00 at night.

The new season of House of Cards is on Netflix. I've decided to rewatch the first season in preparation of binge watching season 2. I also picked up Sedaris' "When You are Engulfed in Flames" from Left Bank today. I read too few books last year so I am making a resolution to read at least one book a month now.

Off tomorrow but everyone else is working so I will likely get coffee and attempt to ride a bike if it's warm enough and the stupid ice melts.

On another note, my leg has the unbearable itch now. I wake myself up at night from scratching in my sleep. I've been thinking I should wear oven mitts to bed.

NEW GADGETS

Artograph Light Pad. Purchased. Probably way overdue for one.

WORKIN ON WALKEN

In the works. My living room looks like that of a serial killer though.

ST LOUIS

Building a map of St. Louis for a client project.
Learned some neat tricks with isometric illustration.
Will never get lost downtown.

LIFE IN SECONDS X JANUARY

Things I've learned from the first Life in Seconds:
1. Take a video today.
2. Do not email videos to self. They will compress.
3. I drink a lot.
4. I eat a lot.
5. I have some pretty rad friends.

PORK

Discovered a new favorite magazine at the bar last night.
